Hippotherapy is a treatment strategy incorporating the medical grade movement of the horse to provide carefully graded motor, sensory, and neurological input.

Mental Health therapy at Stable Connections, provided by qualified and trained professionals, often uses the sensory rich environment of the barn and the natural healing connection of the horses to help clients heal, learn, and grow.
Our recreational adaptive riding team is one of the only Canadian Therapeutic Riding Association (CanTRA) certified teams in Manitoba. We offer safe, fun lessons with horses adapted to all abilities. Our adaptive riding programs add a wide variety of opportunities for learning and growth to clients in their personal journey at Stable Connections.

Sarah-Michelle’s dream became reality in Stable Connections and flourished and grew when she met her colleague Karen Saindon, a certified Equine Massage Therapist. Sarah-Michelle and Karen connected on the idea of healing through somatic experiences (body awareness). Together they created a unique therapeutic experience combining bodywork, somatic experiences, as well as neurodevelopmental, and sensory techniques to help clients release traumatic incidents from the emotional and physical body and improve their participation in life. Their work has been modelled internationally and is being carried out by therapists in Europe.
