Stable Connections offers a variety of Adaptive & Recreational Programming for people of all ages and abilities that can be adapted and tailored to each individual's needs, abilities, style and pace of learning. Our programs are designed for anyone who benefits from a more personalized, holistic, mindful, and supportive approach. All adaptive & recreational programs are facilitated by our team of Canadian Therapeutic Riding Association (CanTRA) certified instructors and specially trained horse handlers.

Our Adaptive & Recreational Programs
ADAPTIVE & Recreational RIDINGAdaptive Riding, also known as Therapeutic Riding, is recreational horseback riding and horsemanship lessons that can be adapted for each individual’s unique abilities, needs, and learning styles. These lessons are facilitated by our team of certified Adaptive/ Therapeutic Riding instructors who have additional training and skills to assist participants of all abilities in the saddle and on the ground.

CONNECTIONS WITH HORSESConnections with Horses is not your regular riding lesson - it is designed for anyone who benefits from a more personalized, holistic, mindful, and supportive approach. Whether you’re just beginning, coming back to horses, working through anxiety, or looking for a welcoming and inclusive environment, you will receive balanced guidance in understanding and connecting with your horse in everything you do at the barn both on the ground, and in the saddle.

EXPERIENCE GROWTH WITH HORSES
This is a 4-week unmounted group program of 2-3 participants that is open to all ages and abilities. Explore skills like communication, leadership, and teamwork with the horse as your guide. Participates engage in hands-on activities and learning experiences with the horses and their teammates.

horse powered readingOur Horse Powered Reading sessions give children the tools they need to become successful readers. Through hands-on learning activities with the horses, practical study skills, and creative and critical thinking we help children overcome challenges to learning, and develop vocabulary enhancement.

Barn toursWe offer educational barn tours to animal lovers of all ages. Receive a guided walk through the facility, meet some of the horses and other barn animals. Learn about our horses', their personalities, different breeds, colours, herd behaviour, diet, horse care, training, daily routines on the ranch, and some fun horsey facts. Enjoy the beautiful views and peaceful environment of the ranch where you can unwind and unplug while connecting with nature.

SPRING BREAK & SUMMER CAMPSWe offer spring break and summer camps with horses, where we embrace inclusion and unleash potential. 55+ Active Living ProrgamsOur Spring 55+ Active Living Programs feature hands-on experiences with horses and a delightful day trip to our ranch. Enjoy fresh air, friendly faces, refreshments, and the simple joy of connecting with horses, self, others, and nature.
Groups of 8-10 people (min. 4 people per group). Sign up with your friends, or join an existing group, for a one-time experience or a 3-part series. Sessions available daytime, March to June, 2026. Registration open now. |
