2025 Exciting Inclusive Summer Camps
We offer week long summer day camps with horses, where we embrace inclusion and unleash potential.
We are offering (see below for details):
Stable Connections is the ONLY summer horse camp in Manitoba that ensures their adaptive riding instructors are certified with CanTRA in order to provide safe and effective riding opportunities for children and adults with special needs.
Our Summer Camps operate a 2-to-1 participant-to-staff ratio. We strive for inclusivity, allowing for the success and enjoyment of each participant. Stable Connections customizes activities based on each participant’s physical, mental and emotional stages of learning.
Stable Connections Summer Camp participants spend their days in the fresh air enjoying horses, new friends, and 40 acres of nature to explore.
Camps run July and August, Mon-Fri, 9am-3pm.

Herd Connections Summer Horse Camp for Mental Health Wellness (ages 11-14)
This fun-filled week gives participants the opportunity to enjoy:
- Daily group therapeutic activities facilitated by licensed mental health staff
- Riding opportunities (indoor and outdoor) facilitated by CanTRA certified adaptive riding instructors
- Horsemanship and stable management skills
- Arts & crafts
- Team building games & obstacle courses with horses
- Therapeutic drumming
- Theme days
- And so much more!
- Ages 11-14.
- Groups are limited to 8-12 participants.
- A member of Stable Connections’ Mental Health and Resilience team will schedule a brief initial evaluation with each applicant to determine eligibility.
- Cost is $600/week per participant.
- Monday - Friday, 9am - 3pm*.
*Extended care available until 4pm at additional cost. - Please note there is a 200 lbs weight limit for riding programs.
- If your youth requires 1:1 support - it is offered on a first come first serve basis.
- If you have extended health benefits, a portion of the camp fee (33%) is eligible for reimbursement.

Horse Camp Connections for All Abilities (ages 6-14)
This fun-filled week gives participants the opportunity to enjoy:
- Daily adaptive riding opportunities (indoor and outdoor) led by CanTRA certified instructors
- Horsemanship and stable management skills
- Arts & crafts
- Games & obstacle courses with horses
- Beginner skills and confidence building on a simulation barrel
- Theme days
- And so much more!
- Ages 6-14. Camp is open to current clients and the wider community. Individuals do not need prior riding experience to participate.
- Cost is $600/week per person.
- Monday - Friday, 9am - 3pm*.
*Extended care available until 4pm at additional cost - Spaces are limited in order to provide the best camp experience for all our participants.
- Each participant’s application must be approved by Stable Connections’ clinical team to ensure the right support can be provided for each unique participant’s needs.
- Stable Connections staff will coordinate with parents and/or caregivers prior to camp to determine specific supports for each participant and conduct assessments as needed.
- Participants who have never attended Stable Connections must complete our new rider assessment before finalizing registration.
- Please note there is a 180 lbs weight limit for riding programs.

Adults with Disabilities Horse Adventure Camp (ages 18+)
This fun-filled week gives participants the opportunity to enjoy:
- Daily adaptive riding opportunities (indoor and outdoor) led by CanTRA certified instructors
- Horsemanship and stable management skills
- Arts & crafts
- Games & obstacle courses with horses
- Beginner skills and confidence building on a simulation barrel
- Theme days
- And so much more!
- Ages 18+. Camp is open to current clients and the wider community. Individuals do not need prior riding experience to participate.
- Cost is $500/week per person.
- Tuesday - Friday, 9am - 3pm* on August 5-8, 2025
*Extended care available until 4pm at additional cost - Spaces are limited in order to provide the best camp experience for all our participants.
- Each participant’s application must be approved by Stable Connections’ clinical team to ensure the right support can be provided for each unique participant’s needs.
